our mission

Our Mission

Welcome to A-Maze-ing Monarchs!

Mission Statement-

A-Maze-ing Monarchs is a 501C3 social enterprise

dedicated to raising awareness about the declining

population of monarch butterflies & their critical role

in our ecosystem.

Through immersive educational experiences

& public access workshops we inspire individuals &

communities to take action in protecting these

helpful & majestic creatures.

So, what’s the issue?

Problem: Monarch butterfly populations have experienced

a dramatic decline in recent decades due to:

-habitat loss, -pesticide use, & -climate change

Their migration route, a natural wonder spanning

thousands of miles, is under increasing threat.

Solution: A-Maze-ing Monarchs offers a

unique approach to conservation:

● Interactive Exhibits: Our educational exhibits utilize

interactive art installations as a way to bring the

monarch butterfly story to life. Visitors can learn

about the monarch’s life cycle, migration journey, &

the threats they face.

● Community Engagement: We collaborate with schools,

community centers, & other organizations to host

educational workshops & events, raising awareness &

fostering a sense of connection to the monarch

butterflies & their fight for survival.

● Habitat Restoration: We partner with landowners &

local farmers in hopes of restoring and promoting

pollinator-friendly habitats, providing essential

resources for the butterflies.

● Citizen Science: We encourage citizen participation

in scientific research by providing opportunities for

individuals to contribute to monarch butterfly

monitoring & conservation efforts.

How does this help?

● Increased Awareness: A-Maze-ing Monarchs aims to educate

millions of individuals about the plight of the monarch

butterfly and inspire them to become active participants in

their conservation.

● Habitat Restoration: We will contribute to the restoration of

thousands of acres of habitat, providing essential resources

for the monarch butterfly population.

● Empowered Communities: We will empower communities to

take ownership of their local environment & implement

sustainable practices that benefit both monarchs and humans

as well.

● Financial Sustainability: As a social enterprise, we will

generate revenue through our exhibits, merchandise, &

fundraising initiatives, ensuring long-term sustainability of

our conservation efforts
